Halley’s Comet is once again passing by Earth and is now visible in the night sky. The last time this famous comet came near us was in 1986. Appearing roughly every 75–76 years, each visit is a rare and remarkable event. Its next expected return to our part of space will be in July 2061.

Where to See It
You can currently spot the comet using binoculars or small telescopes.
It will appear low in the southern sky, moving through the borders of the constellations Capricornus and Pisces.
